Excellence and Integrity in Research

Research governance applies to all types of research and sets out principles, regulations and standards of good practice which ensure that organisations and individuals deliver high quality research. It involves enhancing ethical and scientific quality, promoting good practice, reducing adverse incidents, ensuring lessons are learnt and preventing poor performance and misconduct.
All research undertaken at the Clinical School is expected to adhere to the Research Council UK guidelines . All health related research involving human participants has additional governance requirements which are set out in the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research (Adobe PDF).
Researchers should also follow the principles laid out in the UUK concordat to support research integrity.
